My name is Mike Thompson and I have worked in the field of meteorology for over 40 years and wanted to apply that knowledge to teaching students about weather in a unique way that only someone with my background can provide. I understand how valuable homeschool parents' time can be. I wrote IQ Weather in such a way as to relieve them of the burden of all the prep work, so they can focus on either enjoying the course with their student, or working on other tasks while their student learns from us!
There are 24 Video based lessons that include prepared teacher guides, lesson plans, vocabulary words, self grading quizzes, and more.
It's not just about weather either. To help students get a firm grasp on the atmosphere, our course incorporates physics, chemistry, geography, geology, astronomy, oceanography, and tectonics! And the kids don't even realize how many different topics they are covering in each lesson! We make learning about these topics fun and relevant.
