The Warrior Dog Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting retired Military Working Dogs, Contract Working Dogs, and Law Enforcement K9s that are no longer fit for service. Founded in 2013 by former US Navy SEAL Mike Ritland, the foundation focuses on rehabilitating, rehoming, and providing lifelong care for these canine veterans.

The foundation's mission is to bridge the gap between active service and retirement for these dogs, addressing challenges such as physical injuries and mental trauma. It offers rehabilitation programs, rehoming services, and sanctuary care for dogs that cannot be adopted. The foundation also advocates for the welfare of retired K9 veterans and supports their handlers and families, particularly within the special operations community. Since its inception, the Warrior Dog Foundation has successfully rehabilitated and rehomed over 170 dogs, emphasizing compassion and respect for these animals.
