Thistle Farms is a nonprofit social enterprise founded in 1997 by Rev. Becca Stevens. It is dedicated to helping women survivors of prostitution, trafficking, and addiction through a comprehensive support system. This includes safe housing, free healthcare, trauma therapy, job training, and a lifelong community of support, all aimed at empowering women to achieve financial independence and personal healing.
The organization operates a two-year residential program called Magdalene in Nashville, which provides housing, medical care, therapy, education, and job training at no cost to up to 32 women at a time. Thistle Farms also runs a natural body and home product company, a café, and retail shops, creating meaningful employment opportunities primarily for program graduates. With a focus on healing through love and community, Thistle Farms has established a national model with 64 communities across the United States, demonstrating a commitment to survivor leadership and systemic change.
